Sage Nutrition Counseling LLC

Nourishing your body doesn’t need to be difficult. Whether you're healing from an eating disorder or struggling to find freedom with food, I’m here to help.

Areas of Specialty

Eating Disorder Recovery. I am an experienced eating disorder professional with a passion for helping individuals improve their relationship with food, movement, and body. If you struggle with eating preoccupation and/or poor body image, Liz can help. With or without a formal diagnosis, you deserve care and support.

Digestive Distress. Struggling with gastrointestinal symptoms like bloating, heartburn, irregular bowel movements, abdominal pain, early satiety or others? Through a detailed initial assessment, I can help you identify the underlying issue and navigate both food and follow-up care so you can feel better soon.

Weight-Inclusive Care. If you have a chronic condition, don’t let anyone tell you weight loss is the only way to improve your health. I help clients address food, movement, and stressors to improve health without focusing on weight. I’ve helped clients better manage elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, (pre-)diabetes, PCOS and other concerns.

What I believe in.

Intuitive Eating

Intuitive Eating is a non-diet approach that allows individuals to create a healthy relationship with food, mind, and body. Intuitive Eating was established by Evelyn Tribole MS, RD and Elyse Resch MS, RDN, and is frequently used in treatment of eating disorders, chronic dieting, and weight issues. Intuitive Eating is a practical approach to normalizing your relationship with food and freeing yourself from the dieting mentality.

Health at Every Size

Health at Every Size acknowledges that well-being and healthy habits are more important than any number on the scale. I work from a weight-inclusive lens and believe all bodies are born worthy and valuable.

You’re the expert of YOU

I am not here to tell you what to do or to require certain outcomes. Rather, I am here to guide and support you, on your terms. Only you have the unique wisdom to know what your body needs.

You’re not a problem to be fixed

What presents as a problem with food or body image is much more deeply rooted. The problem is not you. The problem is our culture that was not built for us to thrive, and instead conditions us to feel shame and try to change the way we look by any means necessary.
